Charis Patrick is a Psychotherapist, Family Life Educator and a Parenting Consultant. She has attained her Masters in Social Science (Counselling) with Edith Cowen University (Australia) and obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (Milwaukee, USA). She is also an accredited consultant for the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P).
Charis has clinical experience of over 25 years working with children and youth with behavioural problems, pre-marital and married couples and individuals with personal developmental issues. Charis is a much sought after speaker and trainer by schools, government ministries (MOM, MOE and MSF), as well as corporate companies such as A*Star, SHELL, SAP and Gemalto. She has regaled thousands with her practical and enriching insights into family life, work-life issues and personal effectiveness. In May 2019, she has the privilege to share the stage with Joseph Schooling’s parents as the key note speaker for the National Parenting Symposium.
While based in Malaysia for nearly 7 years (2006-2013), she was invited to be a columnist for the Malaysia Newspaper The Star, writing on issues related to teens and tweens. As her passion is to help strengthen families, she is often interviewed by major papers and media on social and family issues. She is happily married with 4 lovely children aged 19,17,14 and 12
