With an eye on the cognitive, emotional and social abilities of young children, participants can learn all the tips and tricks required to model and teach physical skills in an imitable and repeatable fashion to create success for their young charges to transfer on to any sport. Your Instructor
Gary Tan, is an International Clinician, tester for the world’s biggest international tennis certification registry - Professional Tennis Registry with over 33 years of coaching experience. He is also the founder and Director of his own Sports Management firm, Sports By 5 which specialises in developing sports programs for young children. He holds the highest Level 5 professional rating of Master of Tennis - Performance with the PTR making him one of only 2 Southeast Asian coach to have attained this rating and only the 71st coach worldwide. In addition, he also holds Professional ratings for 10 and Under, 11-17, Junior Performance and Adult Development.
Gary’s passion for working with young children has led him to conduct camps, workshops and certifications all over the world. Using an amalgamation of ideas and concepts from working with different coaches and systems over the years, Gary has developed a comprehensive H.I.T.S system to teach tennis and other open-skilled sport skills to many young athletes with tremendous success. His programs continue to attract widespread appeal from many mums and dads, preschool teachers, coaches as well as service providers.
Gary is a father of two competitive athletes and a sports lover who still continues to compete.
